Ok everyone....this is it! This the last post and final chapter of my Mother's Day Menu. In this post I am going to share with you my recipes for my Flatbreads: Tomato & Basil and Olive, Artichoke & Rosemary. This are super simple flatbread pizzas to make. I cut them up into 3 inch strips and they make a great presentation. I served them right on the wood cutting board I used to cut them on. It gave it a rustic feel. I am also going to post the dessert recipes! These desserts were to die for! My guests actually did not believe that I made them....they thought I bought them from a bakery. That to me is a compliment, because bakery goods are awesome and professional. The mini Cherry Baby Cakes were super cute and melted in your mouth. The Lemon Layer Cake with Raspberry Curd and Whipped Cream, was honestly one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. There are a few steps to the making of this cake, but it is not hard by all means. The final presentation and taste of this cake is unbelievable! These two are a must make item for your summer gatherings!

Goat Cheese & Artichoke Tart with Arugula Salad
Saturday usually ends up being our pizza night in this household. I wanted to "spice" things up a bit in the kitchen tonight so I thought I would make a fancier version of a pizza... a tart. Why not right? It has a crust, it has cheese, heck I even threw in some vegies! The creaminess of the goat cheese goes wonderful with the tartness and spiciness of the arugula salad. This meal was fast and easy and healthy to boot! My husband did have to have a big bowl of cereal about 2 hours later....and he kept asking me "why not just call it quiche...why call it a tart...isn't it quiche?" So he ate up two pieces of it...but him saying it was quiche just reminded me of the saying " real men don't eat quiche". So long story short...your husband will love it...he will need about half of it to get full, but he will never admit it to any of his friends!

A "Pizzie" Party!
It's a Pizza Party...or as my girls call it a "Pizzie Party"! Ok..so this is it...this is the finale. We finally had the last of the two year old birthday celebrations! This past Saturday we had my family over to help celebrate. My girls love pizza! We could have taken the easy way out and just ordered a bunch of pizza's...but that can get quite expensive &also it just does not feel like a complete celebration without some home-made food. So I took it one step further and decided to have a pizza party where our guests created their own pizza's!
