Ditka's Steakhouse
We have always wanted to eat at Ditka's http://www.mikeditkaschicago.com/ but for some reason have not gotten around to it. As we walked around and shopped on wednesday we passed by Ditka's and wanted to stop in for a drink. We sat up at the beautiful hand carved wood bar and each had a beer. The first thing I notice is that this place is really cozy! We said that we will come back for a nice dinner here around Christmas time...where I am sure it will be all decked out for Christmas. There is sport memorbilia everywhere...but it is not tacky at all. It is a white tablecloth restaraunt which I have heard serves great food. The atmoshpere is of remembrance and not that of an espn zone. I highly recommend just stopping in and paying some respect to "Da Coach" and his nice establishment. I will post our dinner experience at a later date when we go around the holidays. Ditkas is located at 100 E. Chestnut right next to the Tremont Hotel.
